The fashion world has announced another tribute to the late designer Alexander McQueen.
Alexander, who died in an apparent suicide in London in February, will receive the Council Of Fashion Designers Of America's special board of directors honour at the industry's annual celebrity-studded gala this summer.
The event will be held in New York on June 7, with Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang competing in the womenswear category.
Tom Ford, making a return to fashion after his success foray into film directing, is among those up for the menswear prize.
Model-turned-entrepreneur Iman is the year's fashion icon while US fashion designer Michael Kors will get the lifetime achievement award.
Alexander, 40, hanged himself in a wardrobe in his London home after leaving a note, as preparations were being made for his Spring collection to be unveiled in Paris.
